August 25 - Our 46th Anniversary

This day we journeyed from Birchdale, MN to Jamestown, ND. We left the woods and entered the prairie, golden wheat fields for miles. We looked for flood damage in Grand Forks but few traces of the flood remain. We spent the evening in Paradise (one of a chain of Mexican restaurants named Paradiso). We went from chilly weather to very warm and windy weather.
The Adventures of Super Grandpa: Since it was our wedding anniversary, Grandpa decided to provide buffalo steak for supper. He caught the largest buffalo in the world. Grandma was very proud of his hunting ability, but she released the buffalo because we did not have room in the cooler for all that meat.

This picture records the halfway point of our journey to Seattle.

We like the adventures of Super Grandpa! We just got back from the Pleasant Ave. Kindergarten meet and greet. Thomas had a great time. I received word this week from Senator Schumer's office that we received the Drug Free Communities grant!

Thomas is figuring out right now how to be Super Thomas! It involves a cape.

Super Thomas appears from underneath a rock. He is using his super stealth powers to sneak up on his enemies. Then he turns on the light and victory is his. Then he discovered the evil invisible genius and his attack guards. Super Thomas uses his light saber and quickly dispatches his opponents. The End.

Glad to see some more posts. Lynley is doing well. She is trying out for the Iowa Rowing team. She keeps rubbing it in to her brother that she may be a Big Ten athlete. We play Decorah this Friday. They are ranked 8th in the state and we are not ranked at all. So this will be a good test. Safe travels!

Hi guys! Happy Anniversary! We got your package today and we love it! The deer is so cute and we like the books. Thank you! We are enjoying Super Grandpa, too. He's a bit like Grandpa Paul Bunyan. We especially enjoyed Super Thomas' adventures following Super Grandpa's. Theo and Libby begin school tomorrow! Yikes! Libby has Mrs. McKay -- a veteran teacher that everyone likes. Theo has mostly Mrs. Labrecque, but many other teachers, too. Sarah has 35 little cherubs who will come to school with their parents tomorrow for an open house. We are looking forward to 6 Flags on Monday with the Truckenmillers. XO The Kellers
